Transformative Travel
What does the future of travel in a post Covid world look like? More personal development and actively engaging in a way that creates more meaning and growth…
There is no doubt that the past 12 months have proven to be difficult worldwide, with many of us coming face to face with the fragility of life and reflecting on what we used to take for granted, including the ability to travel freely.
As we begin to emerge from the global pandemic, only now will we start to see the true impact that this has left. There may well be some trauma which unravels.
For some it may appear through sheer exhaustion of homeschooling, holding down a job or business with little release from Grandparents or even a blow out with friends.
For others, social isolation with no real connections for such a sustained period of time might have led to loneliness.
On a creative level, you may feel stuck, with a lack of inspiration around us, the same four walls and the same four members of our family. The closure of galleries, theatres, socialising, and general people spotting, may have stifled you.
I believe people will be looking to travel better, but also deeper, actively engaging in a way that creates more meaning and growth.
In a recent interview with Bloomberg, the health guru Deepak Chopra gave his views on the future of wellness travel. He believes that more will seek out experiences that relate to spirituality..
“Of course people want to reinvent their bodies and resurrect their souls, but they’re looking for a reconnection to existence.”
“In the future we’ll see travel combine wellness with exploring nature in all its amazing diversity, you’re going to see an influx of wellness travel for more than one reason.”
Experiences that connect us to nature, that assert our place in the world, and link us to others, he adds, are what make us mentally fit, helping us become accepting of challenges and able to grow in our personal and professional lives.
“This pandemic has given us an opportunity to create a more peaceful, healthy, and joyful world, but we have to rethink everything.”
As we become more conscious we strive to touch the soul in deeper ways. This is where I believe we need healing and energetic shifts to create restoration of the spirit.
I’m working with international hotels & local properties in the Balearic islands, to create meaningful and tailored retreats in response to all these needs.
In my mind travel has changed forever. The consumer has changed forever.
We have been forced to go inside ourselves, with less distractions than ever before.
Some of us, maybe even most of us, have had to face our demons and sit with them. Unresolved trauma can arise when there are no distractions. I believe this is why we’ve also seen rightful movements emerge from the pandemic.
The world will never be the same, the consumer will never be the same and travel will never be the same.
As we become more conscious we strive to touch the soul in deeper ways.
There are three ways to touch and connect with the soul, your essence or your heart.
One is to dive into your inner world, truly listen to the whispers of your essence not the chattering mind.
Two is to connect deeply with other human beings and the third is a deep connection to nature, our planet earth.
There is a fourth which is to connect to source, the universe, love, whichever resonates for you and this one does not resonate for everyone, but the first three are undeniable to all.
