Playing it Safe
....playing it small, as some say.
I had to hold myself to account last week for staying in the 'safe' zone in my biz and life!
Deep inside, there is a yearning for another way, another path. But it feels impossible.
Why does it feel impossible?
For many reasons, our conditioning, societal expectations, media representation, our wounding and traumas which actually turn into our gifts once healed 💞
The truth is, NOTHING is impossible. Gandi overturned the British rule to gain India's independence through non-violent resistance.
Greta Thunberg confronted the United Nations, aged 15 years and led a movement of over a million students against climate change, across the globe.
It is impossible because our mind tells us it is impossible and we allow our mind to take control, not our heart.
If we channel from our heart, our truth, we step into our power and EVERYTHING is possible.
Our limiting beliefs, we all have them, but we can all break past them, alignment & connection are what it takes.
We can turn our uniqueness into our super power 💥
We live in a system where the elite few hold the power. Or do they?
How many times have you been part of a conversation which you did not really agree with, but said nothing.
Heard someone be heckled on the bus, but said nothing.
Saw a woman jeered at, on the street, but said nothing.
Agreed to an extra glass of wine, when your mind & body said no.
Applied for a job you didn't want.
What are we so scared of?
What is the worst that can happen?
Why do we hate to offend?
Who & what is deciding our life for us?
We ultimately keep ourselves small. Trapped.
Stuck in a lie, which does not serve us.
It is okay to not agree. It is okay to not conform. It is okay to say no.
Having moved to a new country and meeting lots of new people from across the world. This has never been more prevalent to me.
There is a clash of cultures, especially at the school gates. We all come with different perspectives which I love and it is very refreshing.
However, when being new, wanting to make new friends and settle in, it is extremely tempting to go along with the hearsay & the general consensus and to make agreements I am unable to fulfil.
Today, I make a choice and a commitment to be accountable to my words. It is not always easy and there are times when it does not happen. And that is okay.
My intention, when sinking into and owning my whole truth, is to be fully accountable and conscious of my word. Because it is important and it does matter.
It is important to hold ourselves accountable to our truth, to what we say and do.
Our words are matter.
It is important to not play it safe, to not agree with the crowd when we have a different view and to make our voice heard when needed.
Last week I made a commitment to myself, to speak up when I was called, to be conscious of all my words and to ultimately play BIG for the highest good of all.
It is time to rise. It is time to use our voice. It is time to create conscious living.
